Finally...

A before and after shot of me!

Here's me before at about 260 lbs give or take a pound or two last May...

(I hate this picture and of course I was doing what I do best!)

and yesterday at 218 lbs!!

What a difference 40 lbs or so makes!

My cousin sent me these pics as a comparison and it blew ME away!

I look so different now and I feel better than I have in a long, long, time!

I can't wait until this current pic is considered a before pic. : )

I'm getting there and it feels so darn good!!

Remember me...?

Gosh, where have I been?

Has it really been that long since I posted??

Let's see what's been going on here...

Firstly, I officially weigh 218!

I am down a total of 40 lbs!and the angels sing... Hallelujah!! : ) LOL

My goal is 170 so I still need to lose about 48 more lbs but I am almost halfway there!

A few NSV's...

I bought my first pair of Levi's in years and they look great on me, if I do say so myself! LOL

I also bought myself a pair of heels the other day just because...and that feels great!

Heck, it just feels great to actually care about the way I look again and actually start to feel comfortable in my own skin again.

I am far from where I want to be but it's a good feeling to know that I am getting closer to that goal each and every day!

How's your journey thus far?

I can't wait to get caught up and see how y'all are doing!

Oh, and here's a silly pic of me that my daughter took of me the other day.

I was excited about it though b/c I can actually tell that I've lost weight in my face.

It's the little things, right?!?! : )

Have a great day! : )

Slack blogger

Yup, I'm talkin' 'bout me!

In all fairness, life has been a bit busier than usual because we went out of town, had company come into town and as of this week, I am renting a booth in a local antique store! NSV, for me maybe? ; )

First things first, I weighed in today and I was at 228.6!! WOO HOO!!

I hope to never, ever, ever see the 230's again!

My newest pair of jeans which are size 20's are getting to big, so I'm super happy about that too!

Ok, I'm calling this a NSV because I think if I hadn't been on this journey, which has made me feel better about myself, that I wouldn't have done this. (can you say run on sentence?) LOL

Anyhow, I LOVE to go antiquing on Saturdays, it's become of my favorite past times.
But, I am not looking for the nice stuff,  I look for the cheap stuff that nobody else usually wants and I try to rehab it. Have you ever rehabbed something?

If you haven't, you should, it's a blast!

Well, I was at one my fave stores and they were having a big sale because they are moving to a bigger and nicer store. Of course, I had to buy something, you know support the cause?! : )

When, I was at the register the clerk was telling me about their new location and such and she mentioned something to me about that there was vendor space available in the new store.

Y'all, my ears perked right up!!
I got the number to inquire about it and one thing led to another and sure enough, I am actually a vendor now!

I am so very excited and a wee bit nervous because this is not something I typically do!

I never take chances but with my husband's encouragement and this little bit of confidence I've rediscovered, I decided to take the plunge.

I don't have much right now and my booth is teeny tiny but it's a start and I am eager to see where this adventure leads!

Thanks so much for helping me along this journey, your inspiration means more than you'll ever know!

Hope you've had a wonderful week! : )

Wanted to share this with you!!

I actually have another blog, that I post on regularly.

It's nothing much but I have a lot of family and friends that read it.

So, that's why I started this blog and it's been my little secret.

None of my family members or friends know about this blog because I am not ready to put myself out there to them, right now.

Does that make, sense?

I wanted to keep the two seperate, so I would feel comfortable and could feel like I could state how I truly feel and truly weigh!  : )

You ladies, have been wonderful and really have made me feel like I could put myself out there and I truly, truly appreciate it!

Anyhow, on my other blog I was given to opportunity to give away a $25 gift card to Kroger! I started thinking about how that could really benefit some of my fellow weight loss buddies, as well!

Goodness knows, I know first hand how much more $$ eating healthy can be!

So, if you have Kroger or a sister store of theirs near you, I would love for you to be able to participate!

Good Luck and Happy Friday!

Busy, busy, busy!

Goodness!

Has it been a week since I last posted?!

Life's been a bit hectic, but in a good way, lately.

We've gone out of town and had long, lost friends come to visit us.

I'm definitely going to take some time today to get caught up on everyone's progress, though!

Oh, and guess what!?!?

I lost 4.2 lbs last week!

GO ME!! YAY!

I was sooooooo excited because I had been at a bit of a plateau for a while.

So, I had to do my happy dance!

I promise, promise, promise to take some pics soon!

Hope you all are having good days, too! : )

Spent the weekend in Charleston

We had the best time!

I walked and I walked and I walked.  Seriously, we walked EVERYWHERE!

I'm a little sore today but it was such a WONDERFUL feeling!

A few months ago, I don't think I could have done it.

But, I did it!

So, YAY for me! : )

Anyhow, my camera is still being fixed so I didn't get to take any pics, but here's a quick shot of me and the fam from this weekend.

Hope you had a great weekend too!

Taco Soup

This is *the* easiest recipe and it's soo good!

It's definitely one of my favorite recipes!

Alot of times, I will make this up on Sunday and will just take a bowl of it for lunches through the week.

Here's the recipe. . .

Ingredients

•1 lb. ground turkey, lean beef, or chicken

•1 large onion, chopped

•1 (1 oz.) package Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix

•1 (1 oz) package Taco Seasoning Mix

•1 (16 oz.) can pinto beans

•1 (16 oz) can chili beans (either hot or regular)

•1 (16 oz) can whole kernel corn

•1 (8 oz) can rotel

•1 (8 oz) can diced tomatoes

Directions. . .

Brown meat & onions and drain then add your ranch dressing and taco seasoning to your meat. Then I add the rest of the ingredients (undrained) and just let it simmer for about an hour.

I usually serve it with baked tortilla chips, and low fat shredded cheese.

It's so good and so filling!

Not sure about the exact nutrition but it's about 2 WW points per cup.

If you try it, let me know how you like it! : )

Oh, and I'm linking this up to Keelie's Fave Foods and Finds!

Be sure to check out what she's posted!
